On the wellness-illness continuum, I would say that I am between awareness and growth. I’m in a place in life where I know what I want and who I want to be but I haven’t yet taken action to get to the growth stage. If I maintained a healthy diet and exercise regularly I would reach a high level of wellness. I believe these are the only two factor inhibiting my greatness at this point. But someone else might look at me and see that I fall into the signs and symptoms area. So, really, this continuum is quite subjective.
My optimum state of health will be reached when I am:
1. Proud of my body the way that it is now
2. Living in the moment
3. Laughing and smiling frequently throughout the day
4. Remembering to breathe
5. Moving my body regularly
6. Eating foods that nourish my mind, body, and spirit
7. Sleeping through the night
8. Grateful for all that I have and everything that is within my reach
