NOVEMBER IPSY GLAM BAG

Here's the thing... Between the 10th and 16th of every month I am obsessively checking the mail box for my two subscription boxes. And every day until I receive said packages I get secretly angry and curse the Post Office. This month ipsy came a little earlier than expected (hooray!). I found these beauties in my bag:

Fabulous nude color. Its super sticky though of which I am not a fan. The little jar it comes in is adorable with a rounded top like a button.

This lip crayon is more of a stain. I think the color is a bit orange for me. Although, I was wearing brick red today so that could have something to do with it. I'll give it another chance.

Straight Up Color Nail Lacquer

I just found my new favorite nail polish. I'm still rocking the Ruffian Lacquer in Fox Hunt on my toes, but this is already on my nails. When I first saw the retail price, I was doubtful that I would ever purchase this brand; but, after a few swipes I could see why it would be worth it.

Built-In Sponge Tip Mineral Eye Shadow

Champagne - $15

Super-smooth eye shadow that goes on thick and shiny. I scared myself when I first tried it, but after a couple of pats from my finger everything blended nicely. While reading up on this shadow the site said that you could mix their eye shadows with other clear products like mascara, lip gloss, and liners. It isn't something I would do with this shade, but there are some bold colors. Check 'em out!

Tinted Lip Balm by Cailyn Cosmetics in Big Apple

I used this lip balm for a performance recently. It was the perfect finishing touch. Love that the lip brush is contained in the product so you're never without it. I wouldn't call this a lip balm though. A balm to me is more "smooshy" like chap stick. This tinted balm is more like a solid lip stain.

It's So Big Volumizing Mascara

I'm a mascara snob. So when I got this sample of It's So Big voluminous mascara I put off trying it for awhile. I feel like once I put on mascara there's no taking it off until the end of the day. Once I found the courage to uncap the tube I was really impressed. I used an eyelash curler in conjunction with the mascara and the result practically looked like falsies. Love.

Single Eye Shadow in Frosted Ocean by NYX

I was so thrilled to get a full sized eye shadow. I'm not a huge fan of blue because it reminds me of my aunt's poodle. Anyway I did try it on stage. In high school I heard that blue makes your eyes pop during a performance and I believe it to this day. I'm a fan of NYX products and this shadow made me a firm believer.

Khol Eye Pencil in Obsidian

This is the smoothest eyeliner pencil I've used. I'm more of a fan of liquid liner, but this pencil surprised me. I can get the deep black line I want without multiple layers or tugging on my eyelids. Superb!

If I could afford it, I would use these every day! I just put the gel pads under my eyes for 10 minutes and any trace of puffiness was gone. I looked like I was 21 again!
