ITS MY EM EFFIN' BIRTHDAY!

Here's the thing... Today is my 30th birthday! No matter how much I deny it I am always excited about my special day. This year is no different. Even if I did find my first gray hair yesterday. I am older than I ever thought possible. Not that I thought I would not live past 29. More that I didn't have any idea what that age would ever look like. 

This is how I looked as a baby. I was bald until age two.

But then it came in thick a blonde. Mom thought it would be a good idea to start my bangs at my crown. This made for an awkward growing out period where my dad called me cave woman. As a sensitive child I always took it personally. haha

I couldn't wait for my youngest brother to come into the world. I could take or leave my middle brother. Sorry bro. :)

I was destined to be a star from the beginning. Later I would break my ankle ending my "professional" ice dancing career.

But went on to be a star on stage in high school. Even if I was only a star to my mom.

At 20 I moved away from home. 

At 24 I got my first grown up job, first boyfriend, and first apartment by myself. 

I was diagnosed with cancer in the fall of 2009. And cancer free by summer 2010.

I've come a long way in the last 30 years and all of my trials and tribulations have made me into the amazing woman I am today. 

I wouldn't change it for the world.
