Today I want to share with you one of my FAVORITE comfort foods to make (and eat!). Sausage & Onion Turnovers.
The meat and vegetables snuggle into a warm hug of (formerly) refrigerated pie dough adding a surprisingly creamy element that satisfies your comfort food cravings without the guilt.
Pop these babies into a 400 degree oven for 15 - 18 agonizing minutes.
| Only 344 calories per turnover! |

Oh God. I want one right now.
ReplyDeleteHow are you guys doing on not smoking? Day 3 is making me eat everything I see. Plus PMS-ing. I ordered a burrito from Lorenzos yesterday with rice and beans, made pasta with butter and garlic salt, little pieces of bread with butter garlic salt and dipped them in olive oil, and a meat, cheese and cracker tray.. today is worse. I won't go there.
I just went to the store too for more.. wish I would have saw this. It would have been fun to cook something tonight. (I got hot dogs for din)
Oh lordy - they are the BOMB.COM! You'll have to try them. They are super easy to make, just getting the turnover part is challenging.
DeleteI've been trying to be good and not replace smoking with eating, but I have been consuming a lot. lol Water though, should help. If I just drink that instead of food it should be good. Trev and I have been pretty short with each other. We have to basically stay out of each other's way most of the time. I'm ready for this period to be over!
Those look delicious!
